I quite enjoyed this one. Normally I am not a big fan of constant point-of-view switches, but these are done smoothly and sensibly; not disjointing at all. The characters are great fun to follow along, and the story had me wanting to jump right back in to see what happened next.

There is no need to review the literacy work, I guess, but I was delighted of the book format itself.
While ordering I haven’t noticed that it is not a regular format and really like it. It is small, really suits for carrying around and is very good for personal gift, which was the purpose of purchase.
I like also hard covers and recycled-like paper.

My husband and are going to teach english abroad and thought this would be a helpful tool to bring along. We will be able to store music, pictures and have easy access to any important documents we save on here. It has been great so far allowing us to have quick and easy Internet access during this process of getting everything together. The only thing it is missing is flash, but there are so many apps that are out now that allow access without flash. We highly recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence!

In the Twilight series, Stephenie Meyer has created a modern day, fantasy Romeo and Juliet with a enchanting twist that makes your heart melt. The first book, Twilight, starts out the saga with Edward and Bella meeting and falling in love. Amidst the romantic love story between a vampire and a human, there is drama and action. Bella also unwillingly becomes the love interest of one of her classmates and an American Indian (who later becomes a werewolf). But that’s the least of her worries as three visiting vampires suddenly take a special interest in her, and not in a good way. As Edward’s love for Bella grows, being a vampire isn’t the only worry he has. He and his family, who lovingly take the young human in, must battle these three vampires and save Bella’s life. Stephenie is very creative in her descriptions of the vampires as well as making them each unique. The story ends with Bella making the decision that she wants to become a vampire, tormenting Edward who cannot live with the idea of condemning her to his fate.

The present-day idea of love is that it can only last if there’s an immediate sexual relationship, especially when it comes to teenage love. Stephenie manages to show that love can exist regardless. This book is captivating and untainted by movies’ portrayal of love and sex being conjoint. If you’re a sucker for a real love story, Twilight is a great read.

In spite of some historical inaccuracies, this novel rings true and kept me engaged from beginning to end. (I admit, though, that I did get a little distracted at times trying to figure out which actresses would play which characters in the movie that inevitably will be made.) The characters are well-developed, and there is the right combination of suspense and humor.

This is another story that points out the inconsistencies in the relationships between whites and their black servants. On the one hand the blacks were considered inferior morally and dangerous to the health of the whites. Yet at the same time the black maids were entrusted with their most precious things: their children. These absentee mothers underestimated the influence their maids had on the children and the affection their children had for the maids. As long as the help didn’t use the same toilet, their white employers thought they had control of the situation. Kathryn Stockett does an excellent job with this contradiction.
