Not sure I buy the premise of this book, that God speaks through the author. But, I have only read a few pages. Maybe it will get more interesting as I go along.

Bought this at Target for about $20 over the price here. Good looking watch (not cheep at all) and keeps good time. It is a little heavy, but so are others in this category. Nice watch for the price.

I don’t read books like these usually. Its meant for the younger teens. I find them too childish.However on my sister’s recommendation I decided to read it.
For the last two years of his life, twelve year old Artemis Fowl has looked for clues that would help him know more about the fairy civilisation. At last he found the sacred book of all fairies, `The Book’ containing all the secrets of the fairy civilisation. Artemis Fowl plans to kidnap one of the fairy kind to extract gold from the fairies, so that he could restore his family’s crumbling fortunes. But by kidnapping Captain Holly Short of Lower Elements Police, Artemis has almost triggered an inter-species war.
Artemis, the main protagonist of the book, is a child prodigy and can even be described as criminal mastermind. Though he seems cold and distant at first but as the story progresses he is shown as feeling guilt and remorse .
Holly is the first female in LEP-recon (Lower Elements Police reconnaissance) in the history of the fairy kind. She is courageous with a strong sense of right and wrong, and is very loyal to her kind. She possesses a sarcastic sense of humour. Holly is compassionate and caring even willing to heal Artemis’ mother and Butler.
Butler is the faithful bodyguard of Artemis. Each member of the butler family is allotted a Fowl to protect. Butler has been with Artemis since the day Artemis was born. He prefers to scare people rather than hurt them. Inside his tough exterior he has a soft and kind heart.
Artemis Fowl is fast and exciting. It’s one those books which you are unwilling to let go till you complete it. Throughout the book the narration changes from the human point of view to the fairy point of view enabling the reader to get to see from the perspective of both sides. Though at first Artemis seems cold and distant to everyone around him but as the story progresses the reader comes to see him as just a boy trying to take his father’s place to support the family. I read the reviews online and so far this scale is as promised– works well, looks good, and the price was very reasonable. I like that in the back you can switch it from lbs to kgs with a switch since my husband is European (and I didn’t even know about that when I ordered it). I also like that you don’t have to tap it once to make it work– you can just step on it.

Why can’t all email programs work as fast and nifty as the iPod touch?! I can open my email, answer five emails and return the device to my pocket before macbook’s OS loads… as for loading windows on my laptop–in that time I can answer a whole day’s emails, bruch my teeth and weed the garden! I’m hooked–all emailing should be this easy.

My long-haired cat had “dreadlocks” all throughout his fur. With this brush and a little scissors, I was able to get them all out, though it took a few sessions. Now, he doesn’t get clumps of fur anymore.
