I have owned so many different pedeometers and been totally disappointed with the performance. The Omron HJ-112 is the BEST pedometer I have ever owned. The product keeps accurate steps and has not broke down (which my other products did within a month of use). I would recommend this pedometer to everyone!! The zip drive offers plenty of storage space for backing up nearly anything. I use mine for backing up all my device drivers for my computers in case I format a hard-drive or one crashes. It sure beats downloading the updated drivers all over again! My zip drive has been running for 2 years without a glitch and right now the price is very reasonable because of the 250 megabyte version which can also read the 100 meg disks. Highly recommended. Only wish the USB version was available when I bought mine:(

This maybe the fastest bullet made for Nerf. The bullets are streamlined and has the least wind resistance. It has the smallest tip. They work best on the clips with the Recon CS-6. They also work on the Maverick, the one with the 6-shooter rotating barrel, which I think is one of the best guns made by Nerf.

Unfortunately, it will not work with the one-shooters such as the EX-3. I was a bit baffled why it won’t since the bullets share the same diameter, inside and out, with the rest. What I found out was that the hole in this particular bullet is shallower than the other bullets. Probably to counterbalance the lighter tip. If you press the orange foam just below the tip, the foam is solid and not hollow. This prevent the bullet from going inside the one-shooter all the way in the barrel.

Using them on clip guns, there is also an annoying problem of jamming, squashing and chipping. This is more of a problem with the guns instead of the bullets. But still, it shorten the life of the bullets as well as ruining accuracy.

Leon Fisher is an assassin and this was the one kill that his employers hadn’t ordered; this was his revenge against the murderer who had brutally butchered his lover, Ted. However, killing the man responsible for Ted’s violent death does not ease his pain and anger, instead it leaves him empty and sends him on a downward spiral into alcoholism and depression. His employer gives him an ultimatum: go to their mountain retreat in Alaska or be terminated. He has no choice but to agree.

When he arrives at the retreat it is like a 5 star hotel with great food, staff and most leisure activities he could possibly want but he looks longingly at the forests rather than sample the indoor entertainment. Then one day he decides to explore, with disastrous results. He is attacked by a bear and almost dies before being rescued by a strange young man, Grim. After tending to his injuries Grim takes him to his cabin in the woods which is no more than a one room shack, where he recuperates and gets to know his rescuer.

Grim is totally unexpected and unlike anyone in Leon’s experience. He is painfully submissive, shy to an astonishing degree and it was obvious that he had suffered some sort of trauma in the past but he wasn’t talking. He is rail thin, fragile and it seems as if a strong wind could blow him over. On the other hand, he is extraordinarily strong physically having lived out in Tongass National Forest in the Alaskan woods for years, practically fending for himself.

Although Grim was uncommunicative at first, gradually Leon was able to glean snippets of his story which gave him a brief glimpse of his life of physical and sexual abuse and made him realize how much he wanted to take care of him. He was also falling in love. But they don’t have too much time with each other before their pasts catch up to them and there is nowhere to hide. Their only options appear to be prison or death.

If you’re looking for advice on a gaming system, I’ll tell you what a teenager told us. If you’re looking to buy for a younger child, say over 5 but younger than 14, then get the Wii. But, if you’re buying for a teenager, then they’re looking into the Xbox. So, there you have it, from the lips of a teen. So, off we went to get the Wii since we old folks could work out with it as well. It has been the best investment! We can use it with the Wii Sports, and the kids get to have a blast with it with the games. It’s so easy to use, the setup is easy (an 8-year-old did ours), and well, it’s just been a marvelous addition to the gametime in this house. A word of caution, however, be SURE you read the directions. There are warnings enclosed that state things like “Don’t play longer than 45 minutes at a time.” The Wii can cause seizures in people so be sure you pay attention to that stuff. Other than that, it’s great. Highly recommend!

I have used carpet cleaners for years, and this one is the best by far if you clean your carpet yourself. It is not perfect, but works really well.

This is the best GPS mount on the market. It does not mark your dashboard with sticky stuff, but it stays in place remarkably well. We have 2 – one for each car. Fantastic!

“People never notice anything” (9) states Holden Caulfield, the protagonist of J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye. The story is a monologue of Caulfield’s existence in a privileged society filled with “phonies” during the 1950s in New York City. Caulfield’s parents send him away to boarding school, which does not alter his cynical attitude towards life and prompts him to be extremely apathetic and fail out of multiple schools until he lands at Pencey Prep, where the story begins. The reader discovers that Caulfield is actually very troubled because of the death of his younger brother, which affects his attitude towards life causing him to disregard a life of affluence and conclude that it is empty, providing no comfort, as many believe money can. At one point in the story, Caulfield expresses that money, “…always ends up making you blue as hell” (133). After being expelled from Pencey Prep, for failing every class except English, he decides to venture into New York City before the letter detailing his expulsion reaches his parents. Caulfield embarks on a journey in search of what is missing in his life and what will ease his depressed state. Masking his feelings behind sarcasm and witty banter, Caulfield reaches desperation, as he stays awake night and day, drowning in his own misery while in search of what will make his life better.
This novel is brilliantly composed by Salinger, who examines the life of a teenager who feels lost and trapped inside an empty world. Whether it is his compulsive spending, apathy towards school, or even confusion with the opposite sex, Caulfield is a character that is so real, the reader feels as if he is a troubled friend who is in need of help. Because of his character and the conflicts he faces, Caulfield makes The Catcher in the Rye a timeless masterpiece. In an increasingly material world, the troubles of money and the search for what will bring true happiness is a more relevant theme than ever. Adolescents will always fin
